Bound Buttonholes in Really Fun Shapes
Share
I have fallen in love with the look of a bound buttonhole, and once you see them done beautifully, you inevitably will start to see them everywhere when out shopping for inspiration.
Having discovered the excellent bound buttonhole primer from Judith Neukam at Threads, I worked my way through the series to this little gem, which covers variations. Think triangular shaped, oblongs, and yes, she even demonstrates a lip-shaped buttonhole, in homage to the welt-like 'lips'. (The x on the button denotes a kiss!)
This isn't just for those looking to flex their creativity, but also for those grappling with tiny buttons or extra large statement buttons, where sewing a perfect button hole on the machine has as much likelihood as winning at a slot machine.
